Advantage Systems Launches Enhanced Web-Based Reporting Tool, AMB 7 Sierra

IRVINE, Calif., October 28, 2019 – Advantage Systems, a provider of accounting and financial management tools for the mortgage industry, announced today that phase II of AMB 7 Sierra is now available.

This phase of AMB 7 rolls out the total reporting suite with updated AMB features in an entirely browser-based environment, offering a new look and feel for accounting users, branch managers, C-level executives and loan officers. The new reporting tool offers easier navigation, extensive capability to drill down, up and through the data as well as the capability to take the data directly to a grid for easier filtering and export.

AMB is known for the breadth of reporting that comes standard with the product. Recreating the number of reports and the options available within those reports represents a significant body of work. This level of reporting is a major reason AMB is so easy to deploy, and why most clients have no need for custom programming.

In mortgage banking, as in any industry, better information leads to better decisions. The real time nature of the AMB product is key to providing management the most accurate and timely information possible. AMB does not require a data warehouse or reporting cube. The reports and charts available are drawn directly from the AMB database in real time.

“This phase of the AMB7 development marks a huge milestone. AMB7 is giving clients browser-based access to a level of reporting not available elsewhere, and that reporting was built and honed for mortgage bankers over AMB’s long history in the industry. The reporting is tailored for each user class so that each user sees only what they’re allowed to see,” said Brian Lynch, president and founder of Advantage Systems. We are excited to see AMB 7 Sierra help accountants and non-accountants alike get the information they need.”

Advantage Systems’ Accounting for Mortgage Bankers (AMB) was developed in response to the need the company saw for a general ledger accounting product that could eliminate the spread sheets and manage the loan level detail required by the mortgage banking industry. In so doing, AMB gives its users the tool they need to be confident about the data being reported to management and others.

The new version provides extensive capability to drill down, up and through the data as well as an option, on many reports, to take the data to a grid instead of a traditional report.

The annual user conference offered an exceptional opportunity for users to talk to ASI personnel as well as other clients about AMB and the issues of the day. The conference also allowed ASI the opportunity to showcase changes to its AMB, ApprovalSoft and Commission products and to provide training that is enhanced by real users’ experiences.

“Our user conference is an opportunity for AMB and ApprovalSoft users to learn more about our software solutions, network with other users and address issues and hopes for future versions of the solutions,” said Brian Lynch, president and founder of Advantage Systems. “The rollout of phase II of our AMB-7 version of the software coincided perfectly with the user conference and allowed users to see that all the work we’ve put into AMB7-Sierra is finally coming together. From C-level execs to accounting users to branch managers and even loan officers, seeing accurate, timely and relevant data in real time has never been so easy. Whether you view this data through a dashboard of KPIs, a grid or a pre-defined report, performance has been optimized and the data is controlled, so that users only see what they’re supposed to see.”

Advantage Systems Updates Accounting for Mortgage Bankers (AMB) Solution

– Provides mortgage lenders with more payment options; reporting capabilities –

IRVINE, Calif., Mar. 14, 2019 – Advantage Systems, a provider of accounting and financial management tools for the mortgage industry, announced it has released the latest update to its AMB solution, an accounting system specifically designed for mortgage lenders.

Key updates focus on giving users more choices and additional tools for managing their accounting processes. The New Preferred Payment feature provides users with the capability to make payments to vendors using a variety of methods. AMB continues to offer existing check printing and ACH capabilities but can now create payment files that can be processed by AMEX, AVID PAY, CHASE, Wells Fargo and others. The new capability allows users to specify how each vendor will be paid so that when an invoice is selected for payment, the system automatically knows which method should be used making the selection process easier and less prone to error.

AMB’s existing “Pick Invoices” capability, used to select which invoices will be paid, has been modified to allow invoices to be selected for payment regardless of the payment method. This enables users to get a more complete reporting of the invoices to be paid. The actual checks or payment files are then created separately.

Advantage Systems is also releasing an update to the first phase of reporting in the new AMB7-Sierra platform. This update expands on the capability to present loan officer and branch detail as KPIs or financial reports. In both examples, the user can drill down to the transaction and supporting documentation on any data point or financial statement line item. The real-time transactional nature of AMB means that “C” level excutives, accounting users, regional managers and branch managers can access  up to the minute financial data.

The company’s  AMBfx module, formerly called the “Excel Reporting Tool” allows users to create financial reports directly from Excel. This module has been enhanced to include budget data and to allow users to drill down on loan volume amounts based on when those loans were locked, funded or sold.

In addition, a new module has been created to  allow users to amortize loan origination fees on loans held for investment. Monthly amortizations are done accurately and easily and at a loan level.

“We have continually strived to enhance the capabilities of the AMB software so that our clients have the most relevant and timely information possible,” said Brian Lynch, president and founder of Advantage Systems.  “A major purpose of our annual user conference, the next one will be in June, is to bring clients together to define the enhancements for the following year. The enhancements mentioned above are just a few of the enhancements made since last year’s conference.”
